A block trade is a large-sized transaction of stocks, which is often seen as an indicator of smart money movement. Savvy traders always pay attention to block trades, and BlockTrade is an app that provides unique and valuable data in near real-time. Rather than simply displaying the biggest trades, this app goes further by analyzing millions of tick-by-tick trading records and selecting the most significant data for users to see. The information includes the trade size, trade time in milliseconds, and the price. But what sets BlockTrade apart is the context provided for each trade. Users can reference important details like the best bid/ask price and the trade price right before a particular trade, which can reveal the intention behind it. With this context, traders can determine if a block trade is a sell or a buy.
In order to provide accurate and relevant information, BlockTrade includes a Smart Filter feature that helps users remove noise from possible invalid trades. This ensures that traders are only shown trades that are truly significant. The app also uses colored indicators to clearly display whether a trade is detected as a buy or sell.
But that's not all! BlockTrade also offers a range of additional features to enhance the trading experience. This includes a powerful Watchlist, real-time advanced stock quotes (including pre and after market quotes), high-resolution stock charts with multiple technical indicators, a convenient multi-chart view, personalized research notes, cloud sync functionality, interactive sector charts, and more.
Furthermore, users have the ability to customize their experience by selecting their desired trading time period. BlockTrade displays the 10 biggest trades during regular market hours (09:30 - 16:00 US ET), but users can also set their own start and end times to view block trades within their preferred time period.
